OUR CONVICTIONS
WE ARE A CHRIST-CENTERED ORGANIZATION.
Everything we do at Save the Outcast Rescue Mission is an outward expression of our love and commitment to Jesus Christ. We feel the Gospel of Christ should be both preached and demonstrated. Therefore, we declare the gift of salvation through God’s Word, supernatural healing, and demonstrations of compassion. We minister openly as followers of Christ caring for the outcast wherever we find them. In scripture, we are commanded to go into all the world and make disciples. This mandate is at the core of all we do and it determines our strategies and priorities as a ministry. We understand justice to be the restoration of life as God intended. This leads us to the outcasts of society. Our goal is to provide the help needed to move individuals into a deep and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ and long-term sustainability in their daily lives.

OUR FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
TAMMI LEFTRIDGE
Tammi has 30 years experience working with situations related to homelessness. Her mother, Mabel Tipton, inspired Tammi to reach out to the less fortunate from childhood. Their family often took the homeless into their home, fed the hungry, and gave to those that were sent to their paths. Today, Tammi’s husband and three children also share her burden working alongside her with hearts full of compassion to help the hurting.
In business, Tammi has been a house manager for homeless and disabled women in Lexington, KY. She has worked as an onsite social worker specializing in children’s foster care. She is now a successful business owner experienced in handling large contracts and accounts. In the church, Tammi has held the title of Youth Leader, Spiritual Growth Leader, Bus Minister, Sunday School Teacher, and Music Minister. She is an ordained minister and member of the UPCI.
Tammi was homeless for seven years and understands the struggles of homelessness. Founding Save the Outcast has been her lifelong dream. With God’s help, Tammi has built a mission that reaches out helping to restore the hearts of hurting people.
It’s been Tammi’s experience that there are those who want help and there are those who want change. Those interested in change will benefit most through Save the Outcast Rescue Mission.
